At the beginning of last year we were asked to help out with another internet based project which we were happy to do. A well respected archaeologist, supporter of the society and a good colleague, Caroline Wickham-Jones, passed away in early 2022 and the executors wondered if we would consider hosting her blog website, which was at http://mesolithic.co.uk to allow it to continue to be available. The Society committee agreed to do this and with the excellent support of the existing hosting company we transferred it to our servers at a new mini site domain of https://mesolithic.orkneyarchaeologysociety.org.uk where it will remain as memorial for future generations to one of the most popular and enthusiastic promoters of Orcadian Archaeology. She is missed by us all, but at least this web site and her videos on the society web site will preserve this valuable store of her knowledge.
